History of VGEC Chapters
This is a chronology of chapter development as found in VGEC Business Meeting Minutes from archives.vergers.org.

The Diocese of Southeast Florida was first mentioned in 1990 and was formally established in 1992 as the "Raleigh Rollason Chapter."
The Diocese of Atlanta Chapter was first mentioned in 1993 and was formally established in 1996 as the "Mark Emory Graham Chapter."
The Diocese of Houston Chapter was first mentioned in 1994 by Wacco Mace and was formally established as the Diocese of Texas "Wacco Mace" Chapter in 1998.
The Diocese of Mississippi Chapter was formally established on 1 Aug 1994 with chair Russ Grant.
The Diocese of Dallas Chapter was formally established on 29 September 1994 with chair Don Taylor.
The Diocese of Connecticut Chapter was first mentioned in 1996.
A Kansas and Missouri Chapter was first mentioned in 1996 and was mentioned as the "Heartlands Chapter" in 1998 covering Nebraska, Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas and lowa. In 2004 it was reported that it was splitting up into several state chapters.
The Diocese of Southern Ohio Chapter was first mentioned in 1998.
The Diocese of Florida (Jacksonville) was first mentioned in 1998.
The Diocese of Fort Worth was first mentioned in 1999.
A Washington, DC and Pennsylvania Chapter was first mentioned in 2001 but has since been disbanded.
The Diocese of the Rio Grande Chapter (New Mexico) was first mentioned in 2002.
The Mid-Atlantic Chapter was first mentioned in the Vergers Voice in March, 2004.
The Diocese of Western Louisiana Chapter was first mentioned in 2004.
The Trinity Chapter was first mentioned in 2008.
The Diocese of Tennessee Chapter was first mentioned in 2011.
The Diocese of Tennessee Chapter was formally established at the Annual Conference in 2013.
Chapter Development was identified as a key board objective for 2014.
A Chapters page was created at vergers.org/chapters to support existing and new chapters, January 2014.
The Diocese of North Carolina holds their Formation Meeting of vergers, April, 2014.
The Diocese of North Carolina Chapter was formally established at the Annual Conference in 2014.
The Diocese of Easton Chapter was established at the Annual Conference in 2016.
The Diocese of Olympia Chapter was established at the Annual Conference in 2021
